R5’s New EP “Heart Made Up On You” Makes Its Debut!

For weeks, the R5 Family has anxiously been waiting for R5’s new EP to make its appearance in the world. About a month ago, R5 confided to Naked Mag that the new album would be more mature and less bubble gummy, so this EP is more than a simple preview — it’s a glimpse into R5’s new style.

There are four songs on this sweet collection—

1. Heart Made Up On You (with a techno/electronic influence)
2. Things Are Looking Up (A fun song with hints of a reggae influence)
3. Easy Love (A super fun pop song that’s contagious and energetic)
4. Stay With Me (emotional and perfect for stadium.)

The EP has been available for pre-order for some time now, and the release, which started last night at midnight, was marked with a load of excitement.

Remember back in April or May when everyone was making pictures and videos and posting them like crazy with the hashtag #RockThatRock? Well now, the contest has long since been over and is finally released!

One Last Dance Official Music Video

Can you believe it? R5 released the official music video for One Last Dance!

Lots of us are still in school, so take a break, stop stressing about finals, and go watch the video! And if you just started summer break, then you can watch it over and over again!

(It’s like they’re trying to be all that’s on our mind during summertime! Haha, puns!)

The video rocks a black n’ white look, helping establish the sad tone of the song.

The timing of the release is also really smart. Many people are graduating from high school, and as the song goes, “Freshman year I saw your face/Now it’s graduation day”

Happy Birthday, Ellington!

Today is April 14, 2014, and Ellington Lee Ratliff has just turned — can you believe it — 21!

Aside from the fact that now there are TWO R5 members of legal drinking age (oh god help us), the R5 ages is technically complete:

Riker: 22
Ratliff: 21
Rydel: 20
Rocky: 19
Ross: 18

And of course Ryland is super close to finishing the complete cycle:

Ryland: 17

Crazy how fast they’re growing up, huh?
